The police car chosen by Montreal police in a ‘Midsommar’ style ceremony to be a sacrifice to Canadiens’ fans in case the Habs win the playoffs is happy they lost Game 5 of the Stanley Cup playoffs. ‘I was really worried that after Game 4 that they would gain some sort’ve momentum and make it up to game 7 – I’m happy to see that’s not the case,’ said Police Car 78-6.

‘I mean – I wouldn’t mind seeing the Habs win but look what happened when they won the semi-final; they sacrificed 38-10 – and they were only 3 days away from retirement,’ said 78-6 in regards to their colleague 38-10 – sacrificed after the Montreal Canadiens won the semi-final series against the Vegas Knights.

‘I’m just glad I get to see another day – it wasn’t my time. I’m a father figure to some of the younger model cars who come in here with their itchy trigger fingers and short tempers – just wanting to see some action. This isn’t the movies – you never see those movie cops filing paperwork do you?’ laughed 78-6 right before they drove off into the sunrise after a somber night of hockey.
